Why only one side of my SmartDesk is raising?
With SmartDesk Core/Pro purchased before September 2023:
First, please check to see if the desk is connected to power, if the control box is still working, if the keypad is receiving power, and if the leg cables are not loosened.
- The working control box shows a green light if connected to power properly.
- The keypad is receiving power if it lights up when you press buttons.
Second, do a hard reset for the desk:
- Unplug the SmartDesk from the main power supply and wait for 20 seconds. Plug it back in and wait for another 20 seconds.
- Press the up and down buttons (at the same time) until the desk lowers all the way down and beeps.
- Release both buttons.
Third, if the reset still doesn't work:
- Unplug the SmartDesk from the main power supply and wait for 20 seconds.
- Switch the 2 leg motor cable plug positions on the control box. Wait for 20 seconds.
- Plug the power supply back in, wait for another 20 seconds, and perform a hard reset.
*** For better instruction on how to detect the defective part, please check out the video at the end of this post.
If all components are successfully connected and receiving power and a hard reset does not get the desk moving, after switching the cables in step 3:
- If the same leg is not raising, please send a request for a replacement motor leg.
- If the other leg is not raising, please send a request for a replacement control box.
With Autonomous Desk Eureka (SmartDesk Core) purchased after September 2023:
First, do a hard reset for the desk:
- Unplug the SmartDesk from the main power supply. Unplug all cables that connect the legs and keypad to the control box. Wait for at least 20 seconds.
- Press and hold the down button until the desktop is in the lowest position, then release the button and press the down button again for 5 seconds.
- When the keypad screen displays "RST", release the button, press and hold the down button until the keypad screen displays the number.
Second, switching the cables:
- Switch the cable of the right leg to the socket of the left leg on the keypad and vice versa.
- Then you can try to do a hard reset once again.
=> If the dead leg begins to work properly, the control box is the defective part.
=> If nothing happens, we need to replace the new leg.
