My SmartDesk does not rise at all.

First, please check that your SmartDesk is connected to a power source, that both the control box and keypad are receiving power, and that the leg cables are firmly attached and not loose. 

  • A working control box shows a green light when correctly connected to a power source. 
  • If the keypad is correctly connected to power, it will light up when you press any button. 

 

Once you check that the desk is correctly connected to a power source, perform a hard reset of your desk: 

 

  1. SmartDesk 2 - Home Edition (single motor standing desk) 
  • Unplug the SmartDesk from the main power supply. Unplug all cables that connect the legs and keypad to the control box. Wait for at least 20 seconds. 
  • Plug all cables back in and wait for at least another 20 seconds.
  • Press and hold both the up and down buttons (at the same time) until the desk lowers all the way down and beeps. 
  • Release both buttons. 
  • Press and hold the down button until the desk beeps three times or until you have been holding the down button for 20 seconds; whichever comes first.

       2. SmartDesk - Core/5/Hybrid/Pro/Business Edition (dual motor standing desk), SmartDesk 2 (3 stage)

  • Unplug the SmartDesk from the main power supply. Unplug all cables that connect the legs and keypad to the control box. Wait for at least 20 seconds.
  • Plug all cables back in and wait for at least another 20 seconds.
  • Press and hold both the up and down buttons (at the same time) until the desk lowers all the way down and beeps. 
  • Release both buttons. 

      3. SmartDesk - Core purchased after September 2023, SmartDesk 2 (2 stage):

  • Unplug the SmartDesk from the main power supply. Unplug all cables that connect the legs and keypad to the control box. Wait for at least 20 seconds.
  • Press and hold the down button until the desk top is in the lowest position, then release the button and press the down button again for 5 seconds.
  • When the keypad screen displays "RST", release the button, press and hold the down button until the keypad screen displays the number.

Please contact us for support if:

  • No power reaches the control box.
  • No power reaches the keypad.
  • Your desk still cannot raise after a hard reset.
