<p>Every company, every brand, every organization is unique. What makes Life is Good unique is that, unlike many founder-led start-ups, we&rsquo;ve grown and thrived, still dedicated to the same mission, with the founders still here to inspire us daily. While we love change and the challenges that come with it, we are clear and focused on what will never change. We have co-created a brand and a belief system with a timeless message expressed through original art and shared with the world on &ldquo;canvasses&rdquo; known as t-shirts, hats and other products.</p>

<h2>What are you most proud of regarding your team?</h2>

<p>I am grateful (and proud) to be part of several teams.<br />
The Good Vibe Tribe is our name for the global community of Optimists who believe what we believe: Life is good and optimism is a choice. When we choose to see the good in ourselves, others and the world, we have a healthier, happier life. I&rsquo;m excited to have found &ldquo;my tribe&rdquo; and to know we transcend any label normally applied to humans. And maybe extraterrestrials, who knows.<br />
The Life is Good team &mdash; 180 of us &mdash; work to spread the power of Optimism. We are a tiny force for good in the world. I love the range of smiles and stories I get when I tell people where I work. I&rsquo;m proud that we always strive to use our Superpowers (Openness, Gratitude, Courage, Fun, Humor, Creativity, Compassion, Simplicity, Authenticity and Love) at work.</p>

<p>The Optimistic People Team is our name for what other companies call Human Resources. There are 5 of us and, together, we make it easy for our people to do the right things. I think of us as the oil in the engine of Life is Good. We don&rsquo;t need to be the shiny paint or the hood ornament on the vehicle of our brand. We get to quietly and seamlessly make everything else work well.<br />
The Playmaker Team &mdash; our social mission of 25 years supports those who are the &ldquo;playmakers&rdquo; in the lives of children struggling with the impact of poverty, violence and illness. Every employee is trained to be a Playmaker. This amazing connection strengthens our culture and our commitment to one another in ways words can&rsquo;t express.</p>

<h2>In your view, what was the biggest challenge your business ever faced and what was learned from it?</h2>

<p>We have big challenges every year. Bring &rsquo;em on! They make us think and debate and challenge and learn and be intentional about our actions. Not comfortable but very necessary.<br />
The biggest challenge we face &mdash; and we&rsquo;re rising to the challenge every day &mdash; is staying true to our vision and mission. We have so many options to use the Life is Good name for causes, on products, in the news &mdash; and we are strategic about what to pursue. We choose the conversations we join. We choose the business we will walk away from because it may not line up with our values. We&rsquo;ve made mistakes and have learned at least as much from them as we do from the good decisions we&rsquo;ve made.</p>

<h2>How do you maintain positivity amongst your team?</h2>

<p>I have a secret algorithm I use when hiring team members. It&rsquo;s something I learned as an imaginative 8-year-old desperately trying to make magical potions from household ingredients like cornstarch and toothpaste.<br />
You can&rsquo;t get out what you don&rsquo;t put in. We hire people who are happy, curious and smart. Happy people look for reasons to be happy. We have plenty for them to see. When you work with happy people, you&rsquo;re more likely to be happy, too. Happy is magical in the workplace. Smiles are the international symbol of &ldquo;I&rsquo;m glad to see you!&rdquo;.<br />
Curious people ask questions constantly and they usually start with &ldquo;why&rdquo;. They are the root-cause finders and the problem-solvers a scrappy brand needs to get stuff done. Smart people, if happy and curious, make us feel good about everything. Human nature, genetics, the future of the world. Gotta have them around. When you work with smart people, you learn constantly.<br />
If we hire well and bring smart, happy, curious people to Life is Good with those three characteristics, they will smile, learn and grow. The company can&rsquo;t grow if people won&rsquo;t.</p>

<h2>What are some misconceptions about your area of expertise?</h2>

<p>It depends on who you ask. Sometimes the function formerly known as HR gets a bad rap. We may be viewed as the corporate version of the principal&rsquo;s office or the police station. We are often the most heavily-regulated function and it can be daunting for an entrepreneurial leader to navigate all the laws and potential legal hazards of hiring and employing people. With our focus on making it easy for people to do the right things, we change the dynamic for everyone, including our founders, leaders, and employees. It guides our choices for technology, workplace enhancements, communication &mdash; everything.&nbsp;<a href="https://www.autonomous.ai/" >Autonomous</a>&nbsp;is an example of one of our better choices. By designing affordable, functional, ergonomically correct workspaces people love to use, we created a huge win for our team.</p>

<h2>Tell us about a defining &lsquo;aha!&rsquo; moment where your company experienced growth &mdash; financially or culturally.</h2>

<p>I love telling this story! We were in the second year of the search for our first ever President. We sought a leader who would grasp the depth of our message and social mission. Someone who demonstrated all ten Superpowers. A leader who had led businesses and people to accomplish more than they thought possible. We found her under our noses. Lisa Tanzer had been a volunteer for our Kids Foundation from inception. She went on to create a successful career in marketing, branding, and leadership. We hired her to run marketing for a year and got to know her through the way she led the team every day. As the search progressed, we found ourselves comparing every candidate to Lisa. When we announced her promotion to President, everyone jumped up and cheered! Since she became President, we have achieved measurable improvements in our culture, our business results and have reinstated a bonus plan for every employee.</p>

<h2>How would you describe your company culture in a sentence?</h2>

<p>The conversation is the culture and is co-created by everyone who works here, every day.</p>

<h2>What can you tell us about your company that we couldn&rsquo;t find out anywhere else?</h2>

<p>Lots of us love to sing and make music. Few of us are any good at either. We have a house band at work. The members (and the music) change as people come and go. We&rsquo;re hoping for a sax player soon.</p>

<h2>Why did you choose Autonomous?</h2>

<p>We were looking for one source that could provide simple, attractive, affordable, adaptable, ergonomic, height-adjustable, non-staining, durable workstations and seating for 180 people who never agree on anything. Sound like fun? Nope.<br />
The office furniture in our Boston office was gorgeous and uncomfortable, impractical, hard to use, impossible to clean and generated more complaints than any other aspect of our work environment. In Hudson, New Hampshire, our workstations had been around for decades and it showed. Our quest: make everyone happy with one option.<br />
We scoured the globe and found Autonomous, then a start-up with a great product. In our next Culture Survey, our people told us how much they appreciate their new workstations. We achieved the impossible and satisfied everyone except one dude who insisted on keeping his old chair. Not bad.</p>

<h2>How do you envision the future?</h2>

<p>That is one of my favorite questions! I believe in the innate goodness and unstoppable creativity of humans. Our future, like our past, will be full of surprises that, today, we can only imagine.<br />
Just 15 years ago, we had a separate device for each of these activities: making a call, reading a book, taking a photo, listening to music, navigating a city, paying for purchases, measuring our heart rate, composing a song, watching a movie and shining a light on our keyhole at night. Now? We do it all &mdash; sometimes simultaneously &mdash; with one device that fits in a pocket.<br />
The problems that plague us as a human community today will be solved by the generations taking the baton from our hands. I believe optimism will be the fuel for our fantastic future.</p>

They told us all about how they put employees at the center of their work culture.</p>

<p><a href="http://traveltab.com/" rel="nofollow" >TravelTab,</a>&nbsp;like many tech start-up&rsquo;s, have found a way to bridge that gap between what&rsquo;s possible and what&rsquo;s available. In other words, they found a smart solution to a simple problem. Their device allows visitors to the US to access domestic data without racking up huge fees. This means, tourists can now navigate their way across the country or make phone calls to local businesses with great rates - whilst picking up perks along the way. They&rsquo;ve essentially brought the great American road trip into the digital age!</p>

<p>In the words of Phillip Ganzfried, their director of procurement: &lsquo;By partnering with the top 10 rental car companies, we&rsquo;re able to replace the dilapidated Garman GPS device with a modern take that provides a more robust feature set like voice-activated Google Navigation, a secure Wi-Fi hotspot, a built-in phone client and an eCommerce store that provides local coupons and attraction tickets.&rsquo;<br />
And it doesn&rsquo;t stop there. They&rsquo;ll soon be reaching out to hotels, stadiums and other venues to continue to find new angles through which to help their customers travel smarter.</p>

<p>Like many start-up&rsquo;s today, they follow the example set by the, now tech giants such as Google, AirBnb and Dropbox - overturning the traditional office space and forging new approaches to work to reflect contemporary values. Their unique approach to office culture is all about putting people first. As they say, &lsquo;A great product will only go as far as your employees will take it.&rsquo; Their whole office is designed around this philosophy. They have &lsquo;break out&rsquo; spaces for group work or just for socializing, a &lsquo;Kegerator&rsquo; (free beer on tap) to encourage people to hang out in the evenings and of course, SmartDesk standing desks for every employee (apparently with Nerf guns strapped underneath).</p>

<h2>What advice would you give to a new start-up?</h2>

<p>Focus on your employees first. A great idea or product will only go as far as your employees are willing to take it.</p>

<h2>How would you describe your company culture in three words?</h2>

<p>Technology-driven startup.</p>

<h2>What do you think is the most important quality for an office to have?</h2>

<p>An open concept floor plan provides better team collaboration and communication. As an IT and Development heavy company, communication is paramount to our success.</p>

<h2>What is office improvement you or your team have made to help everyone work smarter?</h2>

<p>We just expanded to a new floor in our office. We originally took half of a floor in our three-floor building, now we control two and a half of the three floors. Our new floor is open concept and tech-minded to enhance the feeling and comfort. Our Autonomous desks and chairs are a big portion of that look and feel. Also, we standardized our desk set-up (same dual monitor arm mounts, docking stations, cable trays, etc) in a way that made the space more uniform looking and also increased efficiency for each employee to choose how they wanted to work at their desks.</p>

<h2>Did you look to any particular businesses when thinking about developing your company culture?</h2>

<p>We based our office feel off of the greats in Silicon Valley like Google as well as local tech startups in the area. We have a full gym in our office for employees to use. We have a dual tap kegerator with two types of beer for employees. &lsquo; The idea is to create a work environment that is inviting and encourages employees to stay around longer and enjoy their time at work.&rsquo;</p>

<h2>Do you promote health and well-being in your office? If so- how?</h2>

<p>We have a full gym in our office to encourage health and wellness.</p>

<h2>Do you actively encourage the social aspect of your office? If so how?</h2>

<p>We have free beer on tap to encourage social interaction after work hours. This creates an inviting atmosphere for people to linger in.</p>

<h2>Why did you choose to use the SmartDesk in your offices?</h2>

<p>As a development heavy tech company, we wanted to give our employees the flexibility to work how they&rsquo;re most comfortable. For that reason, a transitional desk was important to create that &ldquo;custom&rdquo; workspace feel for people. The SmartDesk was the best height adjustable sit and stand desk that I could find and we are loving it.</p>

<h2>Do you have any particular practices or tools (eg. app&rsquo;s) for encouraging and enhancing productivity?</h2>

<h2>Have you found any particular challenges with your office set-up as you have grown?</h2>

<p>Because we have grown so large, we span three floors in our office, so inter-department communication can suffer when different departments are on different floors. A lot gets done in email because of it.</p>

<h2>What do you think it means to innovate in your office space today?</h2>

<p>To get away from the &ldquo;old style&rdquo; of thinking and focus on employee morale and enjoyment. To listen to the people at the company that make it great and help it grow.</p>

<h2>What are your worst office habits? Do you have any guilty pleasure in your office - cake days or Friday drinks?</h2>

<p>Someone usually brings in treats (like doughnuts) once a week or so. It&rsquo;s not standardized and it&rsquo;s usually paid for by employees, but it definitely helps morale. The Kegerator helps as well!</p>

<h2>Any favorite office stories you&rsquo;d like to share with us (and the world)?</h2>

<p>The best part about the Autonomous desk is the wide open space below that gives ample space to store and mount Nerf guns with quick access. You never know when a spontaneous company-wide Nerf war will break out and quick access to your mounted guns is critical.</p>

<h2>What do you hope to see in offices in the future?</h2>

<p>I would like to see Conference room tables from Autonomous. We have two large table conference rooms and multiple small breakout rooms that need small round tables that can sit or stand.</p>

<p>CPA firms took notice of the value we are delivering small business entrepreneurs, and realized the value of our platform for their firms to automate the manual, time consuming and error prone data entry tasks so they could focus more on their clients in a consultative capacity. This led to us developing Ceterus Edge for Accountants, which has been a huge driver of growth in addition to our core focus.</p>

<h2>What are some misconceptions about your industry?</h2>

This will only continue to evolve as technology improves. Accountants&rsquo; jobs will become less tedious and less about entering data and more about analyzing data. It will empower accountants to leverage their professional knowledge, not just their work ethic.</p>

<h2>What can you tell us about your company that we couldn&rsquo;t find out anywhere else?</h2>

<p>Ceterus comes from the Latin word meaning &quot;the rest&quot; (think: et cetera). We chose this name because we empower entrepreneurs by taking accounting off their plate so they can focus on&nbsp;<em>the rest</em>&nbsp;of their business.</p>

<h2>How do you envision the future of Ceterus?</h2>

<p>We will continue to leverage technology and be a part of the rapid change in the accounting industry. One that includes continuous accounting, not just a snapshot in time, and be more forward looking. Accounting has historically explained what happened in the past. AI and machine learning, paired with quality data (including historical financials, industry benchmarks, geographic information, and non-financial KPIs) will make accounting systems able to not only show the past, but also suggest actions to be more profitable in the future. We are excited to be on the leading edge of this shift.</p>

<p>We started Innerstate because my wife, Meg, started a private practice and needed a space to work. Real Estate was expensive for a solo practitioner so I learned about the growing coworking model and thought this is what we need to do. So many others struggle to find space, either due to cost, or due to the length of terms. We wanted to be a part of the solution.</p>

Also we welcome people from all industries and we wanted to build a close community. We are owner operated, so Meg and I run the space. <p>We have a great location surrounded by some of the biggest tech companies today. So it&rsquo;s a buzz of entrepreneurship and creative professionals all around us. People love the different conference rooms and meeting options, along with a quiet and professional place to build their companies with flexible options to grow. We are owner operated and want you to succeed!</p>

<h2>What was the biggest challenge your business has ever faced doing coworking space in Menlo Park and what was learned from it?</h2>

<p>Getting found. Marketing and building our &ldquo;brand&rdquo; sure comes with its challenges. We continue to learn and have fun exploring and testing new ways to connect to our target market.</p>

<p>For the first 6 months the space was open, I was working another full time job while Meg was managing the space and growing her practice. Once her practice grew a bit more I left my job to run and manage Innerstate full time. We are owner operated and it&rsquo;s been an incredible journey so far.</p>

<h2>What are some misconceptions about your industry?</h2>

<p>That it&rsquo;s a fad. I believe it&rsquo;s here to stay. Long term traditional leases just don&rsquo;t make as much sense anymore. Not for small startups or companies looking to open up remote locations.</p>

<h2>What&rsquo;s exciting news that you have observed recently in Menlo Park?</h2>

<p>There are a lot of companies moving into the area as some of the other towns around are getting full. As Mountain View and Palo Alto continue to get over saturated, Menlo Park is another great place to build a business and have direct access to all that Silicon Valley has to offer.</p>

<h2>What can you tell us about your workspace that we couldn&rsquo;t find out anywhere else?</h2>

<p>We are owner operated which helps set us apart from others. Meg and I designed the space and put together every piece of furniture ourselves. We truly are building Innerstate from the ground up and has been a fun journey. We&rsquo;re here to build community and help individuals and companies do their best work! We love connecting with our members and getting to know them and what their passion projects are that they&rsquo;re working on. Oh and we always have a full candy bowl!</p>

<p>We&rsquo;re looking toward continued growth and expansion. Continuing to blur the lines between mental health and wellness and big business. Making it more mainstream and accepted to focus on as part of a business&rsquo;s culture. <h2>What do you find most challenging about doing&nbsp;office design&nbsp;for a tech company?</h2>

<p>The most challenging aspect for this commercial design project was the turnaround time in which we had to complete it. One of the specific and diverse individual needs but also needs to be a space which fosters collective collaboration between team pods (specific types of collaboration) within an open office plan which can also grow in the future.</p>

<h2>$1 Billion Unicorn TuSimple Brings Trucking to the Future</h2>

<p>Launched in 2015,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.tusimple.com/" rel="nofollow" >TuSimple</a>&nbsp;is a San Diego-based self-driving trucking startup which exploded in funding and already reached unicorn status earlier this year. We discussed with Robert Brown, their Public Affairs and Government Relations chief to learn more about what it&#39;s like to be at the forefront of the autonomous trucking industry.&nbsp;</p>

<h2>How does it feel to be the first robo-trucking unicorn??</h2>

As soon as we announced our unicorn status, we had a big celebration in the office &mdash; unicorn balloons and all. To have your work validated by reaching this level is a feeling like no other, and we can&rsquo;t wait to hit the next major milestone of first driverless operation.</p>

<h2>What is your company&rsquo;s inspiration?</h2>

<p>Our founder, President, and CTO, Xiaodi Hou, a world-renowned CalTech Ph.D. in computer vision and machine learning, was inspired to tackle the most challenging AI problem out there, autonomous driving. His goal is to transform the $800-billion U.S. trucking industry.</p>

<h2>Tell us about the journey to &lsquo;Unicorn&rsquo; status and what were the major components that led to such fast growth?</h2>

<p>Everyone at TuSimple remains laser-focused in our mission to bring the first self-driving truck to the market. The first step in achieving this mission was to create our propriety autonomous driving technology. Our innovative technology has opened the door for key collaboration projects with truck manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers. By working with these collaborators, we have been able to create joint production programs for product development. These concepts have been successful and in February 2019, we announced that TuSimple raised $95 million in funding based on a $1 billion valuation. The new capital investment will be used to fund TuSimple&rsquo;s commercial ramp-up and product development.&nbsp; Today, TuSimple is the only autonomous truck company capable of driving from depot-to-depot without human intervention needed, which requires both complex highway and local street driving. The company currently has 15 contracted customers and we make 3&ndash;5 fully-autonomous trips a day in Arizona. This has led to fast growth because investors can see that we are generating revenue while validating our system. Our company is setting the standard for tech-innovation within the trucking industry, and it&rsquo;s exciting to be a part of this historic revolution.</p>

<h2>Tell us about a defining &lsquo;aha!&rsquo; moment where your company experienced growth &mdash; financially or culturally.</h2>

<p>There are two instances that really stick out as defining &ldquo;aha!&rdquo; moments. The first moment is when the company received our first check from a paying customer to haul goods while also validating our system. In that instant, we realized that there was an interest in our business model and that the market will adopt our product. We had validation that what we were doing was working and that we were going to be successful.&nbsp; The second moment that comes to mind is when we successfully tested our self-driving trucks in heavy rain with zero disengagements. At the time, the performance exceeded our own expectations at that stage of development, which is always a really exciting realization. The ability to operate in adversarial conditions is key to the commercialization of autonomous driving technology. This was a major milestone for our company.</p>

<h2>How do you maintain a competitive advantage over competitors?</h2>

<p>Our technical founder Xiaodi Hou&rsquo;s approach and relentless focus on meeting technical milestones is our competitive advantage. His vision and leadership have provided a roadmap to success and having him lead the technical efforts with his unique areas of expertise allow TuSimple to maintain a competitive advantage within the industry from a product development standpoint.</p>

<h2>How would you describe your company culture in a sentence? How do you maintain a strong company culture focused on a common goal with a fast-growing team?</h2>

<h2>What is the biggest challenge your team ever faced and what was learned from it?</h2>

<p>The autonomous vehicle/trucking industry as a whole is a constant learning curve and we are faced with challenges every day. At TuSimple, we are eager to tackle them and provide solutions to advance the space. To date, I&rsquo;d say our biggest challenge was moving into production programs. Working with the industry on production quality trucks and parts that are able to withstand the pressure of long-haul drives and weather conditions, and doing all this within TuSimple&rsquo;s aggressive timelines and development roadmap has been an exciting challenge. Our team&rsquo;s ability to meet and exceed our technical milestones has been astounding and we are grateful to have passionate team members across TuSimple&rsquo;s departments.</p>

<h2>What are some misconceptions about your industry?</h2>

<p>Only a few years ago, the thought of autonomous vehicles was something of the future. I&rsquo;d say some of the biggest misconceptions of autonomous vehicles is that they are still light years away. The reality is much closer than we think, especially in the trucking industry versus autonomous vehicles for consumers which will need more time to progress because of complex and varied city driving environments. A common concern is that autonomous vehicles will eliminate jobs, however, that isn&rsquo;t the case. Today, there is a huge truck driver shortage and the average age of long-haul truck drivers is about 55 &mdash; these are jobs the younger generations are not as interested in. Through vehicle autonomy, we are catering to this market gap.</p>

<h2>What can you tell us about your company that we couldn&rsquo;t find out anywhere else?</h2>

<p>Our trucks have both safety drivers and test engineers behind the wheels at all times to monitor the system. A little-known fact is that our safety drivers have on average 30 years of experience as a truck driver and they are instrumental in teaching our self-driving trucks to become &ldquo;super truckers.&rdquo;</p>

<h2>How do you envision the future?</h2>

<p>Our primary focus at TuSimple is safety, and to create safer roads for drivers everywhere. TuSimple&rsquo;s autonomous trucks are safer because they can see longer distances and can react faster than humans. This is a primary focus within the company. Autonomous trucking can also help address the severe driver shortage. We have co-developed a certificate program with Pima Community College in Tucson that will teach truck drivers how to interact with autonomous vehicles. This will create new and different jobs within the industry, such as test drivers to help train the autonomous system, experts to monitor autonomous vehicles from a command center and drivers to operate the vehicle when self-driving isn&rsquo;t suitable.</p>

<h2>What benefits if any, have our Autonomous products brought to your workspace?</h2>

<h2>What is the secret ingredient that has attracted so many big companies to use your services?</h2>

Our focus on customer experience is the root reason our founder and CEO, Chris Kelly, started the company and why insurance companies of all sizes use our services.</p>

<h2>Where did the inception for NextGen Leads come from? Did the idea arise out of personal or familiar experiences with limitations of the market offerings at the time?</h2>

<p>The inception for NextGen Leads came directly from Chris Kelly&rsquo;s personal experience with buying insurance leads. Chris oversaw marketing and lead buying efforts at a health insurance agency and grew frustrated with the outdated platforms and the lack of customer-focused business practices he encountered.<br />
With the aim of building a platform he wished for as an agency owner and improving the lead buying process from beginning to end, NextGen was born. The rest is a story of relentless hard work, recruiting a talented team, and establishing a California-based call center. Now we have over 100 employees and are continuing to grow!</p>

<h2>Tell us about the defining moment where your company experienced growth. (Sharing growth strategy or experience)</h2>

<p>One of our most defining moments of growth was when our call center and sales team outgrew our 4,000 square foot office. In June 2017, Chris cut the red ribbon to our new 15,000 square foot call center location in San Diego. Meanwhile, we established our first official sales office on the outskirts of downtown. Fast forward to today, our call center is continuing to grow into their largely expanded space, while our sales and development team has recently moved into a brand new 8,000 square foot, modern office space in the heart of downtown San Diego. Since 2014, we have grown to over 100 employees, 1,454% three-year revenue growth, and have landed a spot-on INC 500&rsquo;s list.</p>

<h2>How have you managed to maintain the same values and high-quality service across a broad spectrum of industries?</h2>

<p>Our proven marketing, development, and sales strategies were built to be transferable between multiple industries. Once we saw immediate success with the launch of our health insurance vertical, it became our goal to alleviate the lead buying pain points in as many industries as possible. Since then, we have expanded into Medicare and Auto Insurance.</p>

<h2>What are you most proud of regarding your team?</h2>

<p>We are most proud of our company culture and our team&rsquo;s dedication to ensuring a positive customer experience. Our team goes to great lengths to ensure the satisfaction of customer service and profitability of their lead campaigns. They work tirelessly to make client campaigns highly successful and collaborate with clients to improve each subsequent campaign. They know that believing in these fundamental goals will provide success for both clients and NextGen Leads.</p>

<h2>What is the biggest challenge your team ever faced and what was learned from it?</h2>

<p>The biggest challenge our team faces are the negative connotations around lead vendors. Just as Chris experienced, lead vendors tend to have a bad reputation in the industry, so addressing customers&rsquo; past experiences is something our team deals with often. In addressing these past concerns, it remains our goal to not just tell customers we are different, but to stop at no limits to&nbsp;<em>showing&nbsp;</em>them.</p>

<h2>How do you manage to compete in such a crowded and constantly evolving space like auto insurance/Medicare?</h2>

<p>We stay current by watching industry trends, relentlessly optimizing marketing efforts, and assessing the analytics to improve results. We also have close partnerships with some of the industry&#39;s leading companies and remain in constant contact with them to gather feedback to use towards further optimizations. Our sophisticated development team is focused on efficiency which keeps our rates competitive and lead quality high.</p>

<h2>Your company seems to be a very popular place to work amongst your employees, how have you managed to maintain such high employee satisfaction?</h2>

<p>Our family-like company culture is a result of everyone working towards the same goal. We&rsquo;re a tight knit team and hold ourselves and each other accountable and responsible. We are performance-based with rewards coming from meeting shared goals for customers and the company &ndash; and we like it that way. We hire employees that are fast learners, ambitious, pragmatic, inventive and highly responsive.</p>

<p>With growth &amp; development being one of our core values, NextGen Leads looks to promote from within before listing job openings on online platforms. One of our most senior employees, Cassie Carlon, started within the call center, along with 60% of our sales team.</p>

<p>Our performance-based rewards system helps us to maintain productivity. NextGen Leads also offers team gathers, catered lunches, and engagement activities on Fridays. Meeting productivity goals are inherent in the people we hire. NextGen Leads has many career opportunities open right now, too. We are always on the lookout for talent.</p>

<p>Our goal is to alleviate the pain points in the lead buying process across various verticals. We envision NextGen Leads&rsquo; future to do exactly that by continuing to expand into new verticals while growing our team, using customers&rsquo; feedback to develop new features and products, and continuing to set ourselves apart from the competition.</p>
